Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.
Project Description:
Under Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (STWSSSP-II), a total of 12 towns have been selected for the implementation of first batch. The STWSSSP-II project will take the services of one local NGO for each town to provide support for (i) socio-economic analysis and resettlement; (ii) inclusion of poor and disadvantaged sections as well as gender mainstreaming through the implementation of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Implementation Plan in the project activities including delivery of output-based aid (OBA); (iii) community awareness and people’s participation in project activities; (iv) health and hygiene education; (v) community based participatory solid waste management; and (vi) capacity building of WUSCs and WUAs for operational sustainability etc
