Important Information

Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.

Care and Support Program

Project Description:

In 2001 A.D., first time NNSWA changed its strategy on HIV/AIDS and again with the financial and technical support of SC/US it started the Care & Support project. This project contributed to create a favorable environment for PLHA to expose their status and to fight for their rights in the district. This project was ended in 2003. During the project NNSWA found that the HIV prevalence was high in the migrant community of Kanchanpur.
