Important Information

Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.

Peer education support program (Support to flood victim children)

Project Description:

In year 2009, most of schools were affected by floods and school education was stopped due to damages caused by floods resulting disturbances to run the schools properly. Therefore, a school education was conducted by using the Peer Education model in the community level. The safe space education model was adopted as peer education model. All together 20 education classes were implemented wherever schools were affected by the flood. The Unicef Nepalgunj was funding partner for this project.
