Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.
Project Description:
The Saath-Saath Project for the integrated treatment, care, support and FP services for FSWs, their clients and PLHIV and their families is being implemented by NNSWA in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. The main focus of the project is on EIHS (Expended Integrated Health Service) and CHBC (Community Home Based Care).
Activities covered/Program focus area:
- Provide STI diagnosis and treatment services including follow up referrals as appropriate
- Conduct HIV testing after informed consent with pre and post test counseling
Provide EPC services for PLHIV and their families/ caregivers, including appropriate referrals.
