Community Based Disaster Risk Management
Project Description:
Since December 2007, through the DIPECHO funded project 'Mainstreaming disability and people with disabilities into disaster management in Nepal "Handicap International has provided technical as well as management support to the NNSWA on mainstreaming disability into disaster management. The project (Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction) mainstreaming with Inclusive disability. Dekhatbhuli, Sripur, Shankarpur, Beldadi and Jhalari was the working VDC of the district Kanchanpur. CDMCs, Task Forces were developed and trained regarding CBDRM. Rescue materials and assistive devices have been stockpiled in the community level.
