Important Information

Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.

Electoral Voting Registration Education

Project Description:

NNSWA is implementing the Voter Registration Education Program focusing Freed-Kamaiyas camp in three districts of Mid-western and two districts of Far-western regions with the following major objectives :

-      To increase awareness of the eligible Kamaiya population who haven’t yet registered in ongoing process,

-      To ensure maximum inclusion of most marginalized freed Kamaiya, women, person with disabilities, youth and young person who have lower participation  in voter registration process, and

       To build strong and collaborative relation with the Election Commission of Nepal  (ECN)         in order to ensure the inclusion of the Kamaiya in voter registration in Far west and Mid           west.
