Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.
Project Description:
NNSWA implemented the Safe Migration Program in 2005 A.D. with VCT/STI/EPC and CHBC services. NNSWA established VCT/STI center with its full fledged lab and well trained medical and technical team. As a result, the voluntary HIV testing and free STI treatment center made available in Kanchanpur. The Safe Migration project was ended on September'06 but the same nature project "Care and Treatment among Migrants in Kanchanpur" was started in October'06. This project is still running in the district and meeting its targets for achieving the set goal.
