Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Sudhurpaschim province being one of the leading development organizations in Nepal.
Project Description:
Increased TB case detection through active case finding among high risk, hard to reach, vulnerable population in Kailali and Kanchanpur district, NNSWA implemented the TB Reach project targeting for vulnerable community like, land less, deprived, poor, Dalit, women, PLHA, seasonal labor and disable people. The project was implemented in close coordination with DPHO, PHC, HP, SHP and Dot Centers. FHI360 was the partner organization for the project and the Health Regional Director, DPHOs, RTLO, DTLO were in the monitoring roles.
